Family photos aren’t something I am able to capture all year round due to the wedding season in California being almost year-round. Thankfully to Rona, I have been able to get back to where I started in photography. 2020 has been a year of surprises and I am here for all of it. It has brought a lot of growth in the industry and I love seeing it.
We had to take some time off while we were on the stay at home order, and I’m not going to lie I was worried I would lose my touch. Fortunately based on this session I think I have actually gotten better! I love starting the session off with some posed look at the camera shots, this helps the family to get used to a camera being in front of them. After though is when you see some magic happen! I give them a little direction and watch them interact with each other so you can capture true emotion.
One of the many reasons I love about shooting at this particular location! It’s the versatility being able to walk a couple of feet and having it look like a completely different location. You can have an open field look or a woodsy feel all in one location. It’s just minutes from the beach so if you are wanting to have the best of both worlds you can!
If you would like to book family portraits you might want to wait a little longer I will be launching a holiday mini session for one weekend in October which is perfect to have everything ready for the holidays. It will be taking place at this gorgeous vintage Airstream park called Waypoint.
